ENCONTROS DE POESIA SONORA - SOUND POETRY MEETINGS

FonoVoz: AudioBox | PhonoVoice: AudioBox

Os registos áudio e vídeo escolhidos para integrarem, respetivamente, a “AudioBox” e a “VideoBox” refletem o conceito curatorial desenvolvido para o “FonoVoz”. Trata-se de dar a escutar a oscilação entre os sons da língua e os sons da voz, por um lado, e a relação entre modulação corporal e modulação tecnológica da voz, por outro. Estes dois critérios combinam-se ainda com a intenção de fazermos uma amostragem da poesia sonora contemporânea, colocando-a em diálogo com exemplos históricos diversos. O nosso objetivo é contribuir para a aproximação do público a um conjunto amplo de práticas cuja expressão atual reitera a experimentação com as interseções entre linguagem e voz que, ao longo de mais de um século, têm caraterizado a poesia sonora.

Audio and video recordings selected for inclusion, respectively, in “AudioBox” and in “VideoBox” reflect the curatorial concept developed for “PhonoVoice”. They invite us to listen to the oscillation between the sounds of language and the sounds of the voice, on the one hand, and to the relationship between embodied and technological modulations of the voice, on the other. These two criteria are further combined with the intention of sampling contemporary sound poetry and placing it in dialogue with different historical examples. Our aim is to bring the audience closer to a large set of practices whose current form reiterates the experimentation with the intersections between language and voice that, over more than a century, have been a defining feature of sound poetry.
