Organizado pelo Conselho Científico do Centro de Investigação e Informação da Música Portuguesa (MIC.PT) e com a curadoria de Isabel Soveral, o 2.º Encontro em Música, Tecnologia e Investigação irá decorrer no próximo dia 23 de junho no O'culto da Ajuda em Lisboa.
Este evento procura contribuir para o progresso e desenvolvimento das áreas disciplinares da criação, interpretação, teoria e tecnologia da música, dando prioridade a temáticas ligadas à criação contemporânea e tecnologia musical – análise e reflexão teórica sobre a criação e a interpretação com meios eletrónicos; apresentando-se como um fórum de discussão, incentivando a pesquisa musical sobre aspetos do pensamento estético e técnico no contexto da criação musical/ interpretação e a tecnologia.
É objetivo desta iniciativa contribuir para aumentar a literacia dos estudantes dos diversos ciclos de formação na área da criação musical, focando essencialmente a criação musical com meios eletrónicos. Reforçaremos o carácter imprescindível da reflexão estética para uma correcta compreensão das grandes temáticas da criação contemporânea, com ou sem meios eletrónicos, a aproximação crítica entre o potencial das novas tecnologias e o pensamento criativo, através da análise de obras e textos relevantes, e a reflexão teórica sobre as grandes referências das primeiras décadas da Música Concreta e Música Eletrónica.

Organised by the Scientific Council of the Portuguese Music Research & Information Centre (MIC.PT) and curated by Isabel Soveral (composer published by the MIC.PT), the 2nd Meeting on Music, Technology and Research will take place on June 23 at the O’culto da Ajuda in Lisbon.
This event aims to globally contribute to the progress and development of such disciplines as music creation, performance, theory and technology, prioritising subjects connected with contemporary creation and music technology – analysis and theoretical reflection on the creation and performance with electronics. It is a forum for discussion, encouraging music research on various aspects of aesthetic and technical thought in the context of music creation, performance and technology.
This initiative aims to develop students’ literacy from different education cycles in music creation, focusing on music creation with electronics. One should emphasise the essential character of the aesthetic reflection for a correct understanding of the great subjects concerning contemporary creation with or without electronics, the critical approximation between the new technologies’ potential and the creative thought through the analysis of relevant works and texts, as well as the theoretical reflection on the great references from the first decades of Concrete and Electronic Music.
