CONCURSO INTERNACIONAL DE COMPOSIÇÃO ELETROACÚSTICA MÚSICA VIVA 2023 RESULTADOS
O Júri do Concurso Internacional de Composição Eletroacústica Música Viva 2023, constituído pelos compositores Francis Dhomont (França), Natasha Barrett (Reino Unido/ Noruega) e Miguel Azguime (Portugal), decidiu atribuir o 1.º Prémio ao compositor checo residente em Viena (Áustria), Otto Wanke (1989), pela obra “Cycling” (2021). Segundo o compositor, a obra «dividida em quatro secções, caracterizadas por diferentes formas e efeitos de feedback», surgiu «enquanto trabalhava em Max/ MSP». Além da música eletroacústica, o catálogo de obras de Otto Wanke conta também com peças para diversas formações instrumentais, vocais e multimédia. Nesta edição, o Concurso Música Viva recebeu propostas de 87 peças eletroacústicas de 33 países diferentes. A obra vencedora será apresentada em 2024 pela Orquestra de Altifalantes da Miso Music Portugal no contexto da 30.ª edição do Festival Música Viva.
MÚSICA VIVA 2023 INTERNATIONAL ELECTROACOUSTIC COMPOSITION COMPETITION RESULTS
The Jury of the Música Viva 2023 International Electroacoustic Composition Competition, constituted by the composers Francis Dhomont (France), Natasha Barrett (United Kingdom/ Norway), and Miguel Azguime (Portugal), has decided to give the 1st Prize to the Czech composer residing in Vienna (Austria), Otto Wanke (1989), for the work “Cycling” (2021). According to the composer, the work ‘divided into four sections, characterised by different forms and effects of the feedback’, came about ‘while working on Max/ MSP’. Besides electroacoustic music, Otto Wanke's work catalogue also includes pieces for diverse instrumental, vocal, and multimedia formations. At this year's edition the Música Viva Competition received 87 proposals of electroacoustic pieces from 33 different countries. The winning work will be presented in 2024 by the Miso Music Portugal's Loudspeaker Orchestra, during the 30th edition of the Música Viva Festival.
